WIT LGBT Rainbow Week

2012 was a great year for the society, and this semester is looking even bigger and better. This year WIT LGBT Society celebrates its 3rd Birthday and is delighted to also be hosting its first ever Rainbow Week from the 18th to the 22nd of February.

They have events going on throughout the week with from indoor and outdoor games, to poster and photo campaigns, petitions for marriage equality, LGBT movie nights and lots more.

The highlight of the week is our College Street Day, which includes WIT LGBT’s very own past member and now development worker with TENI, Vanessa Lacey giving a Trans* Awareness Workshop in the morning. In the afternoon Billie from Red Ribbon Project will be giving her Sexual Empowerment Workshop. After this there will have a reception and meet and greet in the Rec Room where there will be refreshments, cakes, teas and coffees etc and plenty of chats and new people to meet. That night is the Giant Rainbow After Party taking place in Dignity Bar from 10pm.

WIT LGBT would like to take this opportunity to invite you down to the college for Thursday 21st of February for some of our Rainbow Week events.
